The Challenge
Heat and Cool Air Conditioning were contacted regarding a modern London office refurbishment project. The expansion consisted of adding air conditioning to more office spaces in the building by converting rooms that were previously used for storage and also ensuring that enough fresh air was supplied throughout the building. Although the building was a good size, there was limited out side space for the necessary outdoor units.
The building had some existing air conditioning that could be used but also required additional room installs. Also, due to its age and inefficiency some of the existing equipment needed to be replaced, accompanied by repositioning of existing equipment.
The Solution
The perfect solution was an installation of Daikin mini VRV System due to the limited outdoor space, in addition to mechanical heat recovery ventilation to ensure all areas had sufficient fresh air. New units installed in reception and office areas were in keeping with the buildings existing system and contemporary décor. The finished project offered high levels of comfort and freshness whilst remaining as energy-efficient as possible.
