Clean Air Guidance:
How to maintain clean, healthy air in your space:
If possible, set the system to ventilation mode. This will increase the amount of fresh air within the room.
For systems without a recent service, we would advise a full deep clean to reduce any risks. The deep clean will include disinfection of indoor filters and internal fan coils.
Systems that are regularly maintained are routinely cleaned and checked for overall system health.
It's good practice to run ventilation systems for 2 hours prior to and after use, helping to ventilate rooms and assist with the removal of possible contamination.
Running systems in full heat mode prior to use will allow internal coils to run at high temperature and assist in coil decontamination.
Ensure sanitisation of any parts of the equipment that may be touched by occupants. This is especially important with commonly used items such as remote controllers.
In areas lacking ventilation, the installation of an additional source/s should be considered.
While opening windows will increase fresh air supply, it will detrimentally affect heating and building efficiency.
We can assist with the installation of heat recovery systems to increase ventilation while maintaining optimal temperature balance.
